AFF Training Centre
What is the AFF Training Centre?
The Training Centre in Bulford was established in 1986 to provide Army dependants with both the skills and self-confidence to find a job or work in the voluntary sector.
The Training Centre has continued to develop, and today offers a range of tutor-led IT and accounting courses for Army dependants. Housed in converted Army quarters, the Centre is easily accessible to anyone living in the Salisbury Plain area and is a friendly environment in which to take steps back into learning.
Courses are excellent value for money (ranging from £35 to £150*), and with an on-site Ofsted-inspected crèche offering good-value childcare for course participants, learning couldn’t be easier. *Courses offered and costs are subject to change.

Crèche facilities
We have our own on-site crèche, MicroTots. This saves you travel time and ensures you get the maximum from your course, ensuring your children are happily cared for whilst you learn.
If you are in receipt of Working Families Tax Credit, Job Seekers’ Allowance, Income Support or other benefits you may be entitled to up to 90% off childcare costs.
Going Back to Work
We are now able to offer a more ‘joined up’ service to help you update your skills and then find a job.
Register with our in-house Employment Service and we will help you in your search for work using our excellent network of contacts.
Every one of us needs to keep our skills and knowledge as up-to-date as possible in order to take advantage of all the new opportunities out there. Without basic Information Technology (IT) skills, for example, you will only be able to rely on the lower paid jobs with little or no job satisfaction and limited chance of promotion. See the list of courses we have available.
